Clottey is going to battle Pacquiao on March 13, 2010 in Cowboys Stadium, Dallas.
As talking to his training camp in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Joshua Clottey said he will create a tough battle right away in the expectation of catching the Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao flat-footed.
“I plan to go right at him. There’s no way he’s chasing me around,” said Clottey, the heavy little guy going into the 12-round World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title clash.
Lead by New York-based Puerto Rican Lenny De Jesus, who serve up as Manny Pacquiao’s cut man from 2003 until 2005, the Ghanaian slugger show off that he has the Filipino all figured out.
“I already recognize what Pacquiao is all about. He is a grand champ. This is a tricky clash. But I am going away for the victory right away as soon as the bell rings,” said Joshua Clottey.
Says by Lee Samuels, the award-winning publicist for Top Rank, Joshua Clottey is breaking camp in Florida and returning to New York early next week in time for an open media exercises at Kingsway Gym on March 4, 2010.
“After a couple of days, Team Joshua Clottey will head off to Dallas on March 7,” added Lee Samuels.
Joshua Clottey has come into his fourth week of training in Florida and is said to be in fantastic figure.
In the meantime, Manny Pacquiao goes 10 rounds during Tuesday’s sparring session at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, shrugging off earlier protest of ache in his leg.
Manny Pacquiao will coil up his training at the Wild Card Gym on March 8, the day Manny Pacquiao and his team travel to Dallas on a private plane that Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum will launch to Los Angeles to pick up the pound-for-pound king.
But Before departure for Texas, Manny Pacquiao will once more become visible on the well-liked late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live on March 3, 2010.
