Pacquiao vs. Clottey March 13 at Cowboys Stadium

Manny Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey will duke it out in Cowboys Stadium on March 13, according to a press release from Top Rank Inc. and the Dallas Cowboys late Sunday.

The El Paso Times reported on Saturday that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and Top Rank president Bob Arum were to meet over the weekend to finalize details for the welterweight title fight.

Arum was Jones' guest during the Cowboys victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in an NFC Wild Card game Saturday at Cowboys Stadium - which will be reconfigured for 40,000 on March 13.

Formal news conferences at Cowboys Stadium and in New York next week will provide details on tickets and the pay-per-view broadcast.

There isn't a more appropriate place in the world for him to fight!"

Pacquiao was to have fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. on March 13 in Las Vegas until negotiations fell apart last week.

It has been reported that Mayweather will fight Matthew Hatton - younger brother of Ricky Hatton - sometime in March.
